Radii Production started as a smaller-scale design company called Drift Media (Drift). Their consistent work gained them recognition, and within a year, their growth had quadrupled.
Business really took off in 2002, and Honrio Cham, President of Drift, recognized the need to move the firm. That year Drift settled into a new location to accommodate a larger staff, thereby allowing it to more effectively serve its clients.
Cham recognized that technology was the backbone of Drift’s client communication and sales efforts. The problem they were facing was that more and more of the team’s energy was being expended on managing their IT needs. Hiring full-time employees for an IT department seemed excessive for a company that was still growing. Although Drift was experiencing an influx in business, it was a relatively smaller organization, of about 20 or so employees. Tasking the team with managing an IT service would have represented a significant cost. It would have also consumed the team’s energy, distracting them from their primary responsibilities.
Cham wanted a new approach to go with the new office, so he contacted Dynamix to discuss Drift’s technology infrastructure.
Within 2 weeks of completing a joint needs analysis, Dynamix took over managing Drift’s email, FTP, web and file servers, as well as its development servers. Cham saw Dynamix’s services as a flexible, proactive and cost-effective way to manage the IT service of his growing company.
Dynamix recognized that the needs of an evolving company require adaptability. We consequently took a comprehensive approach to Drift’s IT management so that we could keep up as it developed. We wanted to implement a system that would allow Drift’s team to put the focus back on their work, and leave the intricacies of its technology service to us. Our Managed Services Solutions was designed for just that purpose.
In Cham’s words, “Dynamix has been very responsive”. When the team was faced with an important project, and needed immediate configuration of a web server to allow its client to review a prototype web site, they called us. We remotely configured the site, including fully secure access, within a matter of hours.
Cham and his partners have found that our “flexibility and ability to get the job done remotely have been a big part of Drift’s success in meeting deadlines and winning more business”.
We’ve also helped Drift resolve critical email challenges. As Cham noted, “Drift’s team members are constantly working remotely at client sites. As a result, they need specifically configured security access at each client. When the need arises, Dynamix quickly configures our routers and firewalls to allow for customized security access to the Drift internal email servers”.
Our services have also enhanced Drift’s productivity by significantly cutting down and stabilizing its IT support costs. Cham said it best, “No more panicked emergency service calls! The Managed Services Solutions package is a godsend.”
Dynamix gave Drift the peace of mind it was looking for.
The partnership between Dynamix and Drift has been an enduring one. Business growth is stronger than ever for Cham and his partners. In fact, they recently relaunched as Radii Production (Radii), a full-service web and print firm. We continue to add network user and email accounts upon request, configure security access to Radii’s network, monitor disk usage and server utilization, update service and security packs as required, and proactively audit the system’s capabilities against projected new business requirements.
Our Managed Services Solutions adapts to Radii’s needs. Cham and his partners have confidence in our ability to proactively care for its IT systems. Along with its increasing customer base, Radii’s technology continues to evolve, and when needed, we make recommendations about new technology.
Radii no longer expends time or energy fretting about day-to-day issues regarding their IT infrastructure; the only thing the Radii team concerns themselves with is producing the inspired and technical work their reputation is built on. And that, says Cham, is a “recipe for further success”.
